Red, Itchy Eyes

The eyes often will become red and itchy if you have allergies. Allergies can be seasonal or due to contact lens solutions. They can be year-round and due to mold, makeup, or animal dander.

The great news is there are many eye drops available that will offer you relief. Our doctors will first evaluate your eyes to determine if they have “allergic conjunctivitis.” If this is the case, they will recommend various at-home therapies as well as prescribe one of the newer anti-allergy medications which are very effective. They can also recommend over the counter medications if you prefer.
